Fluent Mono/Tape Knitting
Mono in warp and tape in weft structure could increase the service life.
BN NETTING shade sail fabric is knitted in mono/tape structure. Monofilament is better performance in sun exposure. That’s why Middle East countries buy shade net in monofilament knitting. The weather is very hot there. Tape yarn is easy to get broken in strong UV rays. Monofilament brings strong structure. Tape yarn brings more shading. So we use mono/tape to knit shade sail fabric.
Polyester Webbing
Using polyester webbing to sew the edge instead of polypropylene webbing.
Polyester webbing is more expensive than polypropylene webbing. Comparing to polypropylene webbing, Polyester webbing is longer life, better dimensional stability. When we hang up the shade sails, the strongest pressure is in the edges and corners. So the belt quality decides the shade sail use life. If using polypropylene webbing, they look the same from the surface. In the future, a lot of troubles come.

3 Layers Webbing In Corner
Stitching 3 layers of polyester webbing in each corner.

There is an installation sheet in shade sail package. Once you get your sun shade sail installed, it's very easy to set up. It takes 5 minutes to put up or take down – it's super quick. For us, we put it up during the spring when the sun starts to get hot, and we take it down in the fall.
A shade sail will probably last about 3 to 5 years. However, that can increase or decrease dramatically depending on the weather in your area. If the shade is often subject to high winds, it might deteriorate faster.
If you need 8-10 years last, customers could customize it. We will use higher quality level UV proposal to manufacture the sun shade sail fabric, so that it could last 8 to 10 years.

A dark-colored shade will be the best option. Dark colors like our navy blue, black, gray, dark green or brown, will absorb more UV rays, thus making the area underneath the shade cooler.
